LAU Offers a Specialty in Wound Care and Stoma Therapy
The Alice Ramez Chagoury School of Nursing announces a one-year diploma set to strengthen expertise in a much-needed area and further advance specialized patient care.
As the healthcare field evolves at warp speed in the era of new technologies and a global shift that emphasizes prevention and cost-effective treatments, the need for upskilling among healthcare providers stands at an all-time high, especially against the backdrop of aging populations and a rise in chronic diseases, in Lebanon and the region.
In response to these realities, the LAU Alice Ramez Chagoury School of Nursing (ARCSON) has announced a Diploma in Wound Care and Stoma Therapy, due to launch in January 2026, for holders of a bachelor’s degree in nursing or any health-related field. This one-year program reflects LAU’s longstanding commitment for patient care and to advancing the capabilities of healthcare professionals across Lebanon and the region.
Spanning 12 months, the program engages students in 18 credits of online and hands-on learning. With courses that combine online flexibility and in-person practical experience, participants will acquire advanced clinical skills, critical decision-making tools and follows a multidisciplinary approach to deliver compassionate, individualized and effective care in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, at home and in community-based settings.
