Assistant Professor of Film Sarah Kaskas (L) receives a $5,000 prize for her post-production documentary Underdown at El Gouna Film Festival. The award was granted on the strength of Kaskas’ and Underdown producer Lilian Rahal’s (R) pitch to a jury at the El Gouna Springboard Platform. Underdown follows the journey of three unrelated characters struggling to live below the poverty line in Beirut.
