LAU has ranked second in Lebanon and among the top 15 in the Arab world in the Nature Index 2020, an indicator of global high-quality research output and collaboration. The Nature Index tracks contributions to research articles published in 82 high-quality natural science journals,  selected on reputation by an independent panel of leading scientists in their fields.
