The Lebanese Women’s National Volleyball Team won the West Asia Championship on November 23, defeating the host country, Jordan, 3-0. Among the champs are LAU students Aya Maria Matar, Mirna Cheikho and Iman Safa, and alumna Sara Akkari (BS ’18). They were coached by LAU Varsity Team Coach Elie Nar. Cheikho also won the MVP title while Safa earned the Best Setter title.
