VR Distracts Children Undergoing Anesthesia

Anxiety is common in children undergoing surgery and can have a negative psychological impact beyond the perioperative period. To help allay their fears, the Anesthesiology Department at the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital launched an immersive tool that uses virtual reality in the pre-operative setting and during the initial stages of anesthesia. This was made possible by a generous donation from CHANCE Association.
