A Treat for LAU Bibliophiles

By Sara Makarem

Students, faculty and staff flocked to the Riyad Nassar Library, Beirut campus, on the first day of a book giveaway hosted by the LAU Libraries to enrich the intellectual and cultural life of the LAU community. Shelves emptied within hours of close to 2,000 Arabic and English publications in all genres and disciplines. Another such event was held at the Joseph G. Jabbra Library, Byblos campus, in October, where more than 500 books were on offer.
