Within a framework agreement signed between the French embassy in Lebanon and LAU on February 6, 2025, Lebanese PhD students can now benefit from a scholarship co-funded by the embassy and LAU’s School of Engineering toward their doctoral thesis. The scholarship, offered as part of the embassy’s SAFAR program, allows LAU students to spend 18 months over three academic years at a partner university in France. The SAFAR program was established to promote and strengthen French-Lebanese scientific projects.
