LAU has taken another step forward on its journey of transformation with the creation of the Office of Internal Consulting and Project Management (ICPM) under the Office of the President. The newly established unit is designed to strengthen institutional capacity in project management and accelerate key initiatives by leveraging expertise from within LAU.

Dr. Zahy Ramadan, associate professor of marketing at the Adnan Kassar School of Business (AKSOB), is the driving force behind this project. With more than 20 years of experience as an international consultant and academician, having been named among the world’s top two percent most-cited scientists since 2024, Dr. Ramadan brings knowledge and vision to this new post.

His background in academia, consultancy and leadership development makes him particularly qualified to oversee the office and assist the LAU leadership in achieving the university’s strategic goals.

The work of ICPM will help LAU carry out its five-year Strategic Plan by aligning priorities across academic, administrative and healthcare units. It will also steer and monitor major initiatives to improve coordination and ensure effective implementation.

The ICPM is about “turning ideas into impact,” explained Dr. Ramadan, adding that with the right energy, expertise and creativity of our own community, the new office will support university projects and initiatives, help launch large initiatives, and conduct research and industry studies to match projects with real-world demands, supporting new ideas and preparing the university for emerging approaches and technologies.

The establishment of this office reflects LAU’s belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of leveraging internal expertise and building internal strength by fostering in-house expertise and delivering data-informed solutions. ICPM will ensure the university creates lasting value while reinforcing every initiative with resilience, distinction and innovation to ultimately serve the university community and the country.

With ICPM, LAU is taking another bold stride toward a future built on expertise, knowledge, trust, excellence and common strategic goals.
