LAU’s Arab Institute for Women (AiW) signed an MOU with the Melkite Greek Catholic Church Women’s Affairs Committee on February 26, 2026, at the LAU Beirut campus. Through this MOU, the AiW and the Women’s Affairs Committee will collaborate on initiatives to advance women’s rights, including panel discussions and thematic dialogues, workshops in health, political engagement, social work and leadership, and the possibility for a special Al-Raida journal issue highlighting contributions of women within the Melkite Church and broader society.
