AKSOB Joins the United Nations PRME Initiative
By joining the UN PRME network, AKSOB strengthens its mission to integrate ethics, sustainability and social responsibility into business education.
LAU’s Adnan Kassar School of Business (AKSOB) is proud to announce its official endorsement of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). This achievement marks an important milestone in LAU’s ongoing mission to champion ethical leadership, sustainable development and socially responsible business education.
By joining the PRME global network, one of the largest organized relationships between the United Nations and business schools worldwide, AKSOB commits to embedding the six PRME into its academic programs, research agenda, institutional culture and regional partnerships. These principles promote purpose-driven education, values-based leadership, sustainability integration and collaborative engagement aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Reflecting on this milestone, Dr. Dima Jamali, dean of AKSOB, underscored the significance of the school’s endorsement. “Joining the PRME,” she said, “reinforces our commitment to responsible and impactful management education by grounding our programs in globally recognized standards,” adding that it further strengthens AKSOB’s mission to prepare graduates for professional success and meaningful societal contributions.
This initiative highlights AKSOB’s dedication to continuous improvement, ethical stewardship and transformative education, supporting LAU’s broader institutional commitment to excellence and public value.
Building on this foundation, AKSOB looks forward to collaborating with PRME partners worldwide, sharing best practices, engaging in joint research and contributing to collective efforts that advance responsible management education and sustainable development.
