This Summer: Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Summer School for Middle Schoolers
The LAU School of Engineering will be hosting a week-long session to feed the curiosity of young minds.
Building on the success of last year’s summer school, the School of Engineering will be hosting another edition, this time focused on building middle schoolers’ robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) knowledge and skills.
Using a wide range of applied learning tools, including LEGO® Education SPIKE™️ Prime kits and exclusive content from Microsoft, such as Minecraft Education and Microsoft Learn, the young learners will have the chance to prepare for and participate in international robotics competitions.
Experts from the field will be leading the hands-on sessions. Students will get to experiment with hardware-software integration, machine learning and AI applications while engaging in team-based challenges and competitions.
The summer school will be hosted at LAU’s fully equipped labs at the Beirut campus, giving the young learners a taste of university life, where they will have access to high-end robotics educational kits.
“It will mark the beginning of future innovators’ journey through hands-on learning, real-world tech and limitless creativity in robotics and AI,” said Assistant Professor Noel Maalouf.
The sessions will extend from June 30 to July 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the LAU Beirut campus, and will be open for students in Grades 6 to 9. Interested learners should register before June 13, 2025.
Transportation services are available, and the registration fees will cover all course content, access to lab equipment and kits, as well as meals and fun activities.
