The facility enables surgeons to tackle complex cases, utilizing a full suite of imaging devices, anesthesia, ventilators, electrosurgical equipment and patient monitors, all in one room. A first for Lebanon, the new OR at LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital is part of a $1.34 million grant by USAID’s American Schools and Hospitals Abroad initiative. It allows LAU to improve patient safety, staff efficiency, surgical outcomes, and cost effectiveness.
